Hmm the jabber.org list server is breaking dkim 🤔
-
Zash
other way around, dkim is breaking lists
-
Maranda
Just noticed from all the dmarc reports
-
Maranda
Zash and that too
-
Maranda
But it seems *to be altering the body* just of my messages and not stpeter's (which are dkim signed as well) so it's curious

Maranda
I tested his and they still validate

Maranda: BTW I use FastMail (one reason I shut down my VPS is I tried to get DKIM working and instead broke everything!)
-
Maranda
DKIM works here... it's just that it doesn't work with lists.
-
Maranda
peter, or at least not with jabber.org's it's the only mailing list I'm on XD
-
Maranda
But since FM's works I wonder if it's something to do with canonicalization settings, or something exotical like hash size limit.
-
Maranda
peter, ah I got why
-
Maranda
your hash doesn't have reply-to in it, while mine does and mailman modifies that breaking DKIM validation
-
peter
hmph

BTW, I just noticed that https://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0030.html is version 2.5rc3. It would be good to get that spec out of whatever interim state it's in.

Oops, wrong channel.
