    xo2829: I guess, if they use xmpp too...and that key But this is not the place to talk, better join the group chat of your client

    Import their key into your client (support for pgp is needed of course)

    Xo2829 you don't import the key into your client. You import it into GnuPG and install a plugin on your client the integrates with GnuPG

    Same with email. You install a plugin, like enigmail for example that just talks to GnuPG
