Jabberjocke: Ralph and I will need to be there around 9:00

  2. jabberjocke

ok can I go with you? are you going by taxi?

  3. jabberjocke

    i'lle have breakfast now

  4. Kev

I suspect I may have missed breakfast :)

  5. albert

Too much rib yesterday, you don't need breakfast today.

  6. Kev

    I didn't have ribs yesterday.

  7. Ge0rG

Lance: I've got another one for you, re PUSH. Let the client specify the push "session timeout", ala BOSH, and require it to come back within that interval

  8. Kev

Ge0rG: The 'use data forms' already allows that if you want.

  9. Ge0rG

Kev: my statement was not orthogonal to forms, rather a suggestion to implement/specify the field as required.

  10. Kev

I'm not sure it /is/ required, is it?

  11. Ge0rG

Kev: you need to specify how long the xmpp server should maintain the session, for the iphone-in-beer-glass case

  12. Kev

Yesterday we discussed that this was handled by the gateway, which would start sending errors to tell the server that the registration has become invalid.

  13. Ge0rG

Kev: what to do in the case we can not 100% rely on the gateway to do that

  14. ralphm

    where is Lance anyway?

  15. Ge0rG

    haven't seen him today

  16. Ge0rG was asked to bring up http://mail.jabber.org/pipermail/jdev/2014-January/089833.html for discussion

  17. Ge0rG is also looking for the reasons why WebRTC is using SCTP-over-DTLS, after they defined DTLS-over-SCTP, a much more reasonable solution for a different problem, four years ago

  18. Kev

Going to catch a bit of sleep, maybe...

  19. Ge0rG

    anybody seen MattJ IRL?

  20. jabberjocke

Still at ulb trying to get transport

  21. jabberjocke

    So Anybody on the bus?

  22. jabberjocke

    We still waiting for taxi

  23. jabberjocke
