  1. vanitasvitae

hm, I'll arrive at 9:30 in brussels midi. Tight schedule i guess :D

  2. Holger

vanitasvitae: I'll be even later (10:10). I'll check whether you're still busy getting a ticket when I arrive.

  3. Holger

    Ah, midi. 🚉

  4. alameyo

I'll should be 1 feb, 9.30 at the airport but I guess I will go first check in and then back to the cisco

  5. Guus

alameyo, I'd bring your suitcase to Cisco, and check in your hotel later.

  6. Guus

the airport and cisco are really close - it's kind of a waste to first travel to the hotel and then back

  7. Tobias

    indeed

  8. alameyo

I have to check in until 18.00 as far I know

  9. alameyo

I dunno if I will be on time considering later dinner

  10. Guus

alameyo: You'll probably be in time for that, but I suggest that you call your hotel and explain that you might arrive a bit later than 18:00

  11. Guus

if you tell them, they will simply hold the room for you at no extra charge

  12. alameyo

    ok. I will try

  13. intosi

ralphm and I will arrive somewhere between 9 and 10. Depends on traffic, really.

  14. SaltyBones

Oh, for the people who are not Belgium here is my usual rant: Bruxelles-Midi (French) is the same as Brussel-Zuid (Dutch) and this is the main station and Bruxelles-Central = Brussel-Centraal is not the main station, even though it sounds like it.

  15. Guus

SaltyBones: is Uber a feasible mode of transportation in Brussels?

  16. SaltyBones

Hm, I don't know I never tried it.

  17. Guus

that's what I hear from each Belgian that I ask :)

  18. Guus

to be honest, I wouldn't know about Uber in the Netherlands either :)_

  19. SaltyBones

I will try to ask around today. ;)

  21. intosi

Odd 19th century French, where Le Midi was a more accepted term for the south.

  22. Link Mauve

We still say « le Midi » to talk about the south of France. ^^

  23. intosi

Link Mauve: but only in that context, right?

  24. intosi

I mean, specifically the south of France.

  25. Link Mauve

    Yes.

  26. SamWhited

taking off for Brussels; I'll be there all day tomorrow if anyone wants to get food or walk around and do the touristy thing or something.

  27. SouL

    Have a nice trip!
