XSF Discussion - 2011-09-06

  1. Neustradamus

    hi all

  2. stpeter

    hi

  3. stpeter

Neustradamus: yes, it seems that changes that I make to Table 34 in WordPress don't show up at http://xmpp.org/resources/public-services/ -- it must be a problem with permissions

  4. Neustradamus

    ok!

  5. Neustradamus

    have you seen my ticket?

  6. stpeter

    no

  7. stpeter

    but I saw your IM

  8. stpeter

once again I have fallen behind on email

  9. Neustradamus

stpeter: You have a lot of emails :D

  10. stpeter

    yes I do

  11. stpeter

1433 in my inbox right now

  12. stpeter

I didn't process any email messages over the weekend

  13. stpeter

Monday was a holiday and I didn't work on Friday, so that is 4 days of messages

  14. Neustradamus

    ah ah :)

  15. Neustradamus

I think it is easy to close several tickets like http://tracker.xmpp.org/browse/ITEAM-15 for example

  16. stpeter

    sure

  17. stpeter

but I need to focus on HYBI WG tasks right now

  18. stpeter

the Websocket spec received a lot of feedback and discussion over the weekend :)

  19. Neustradamus

    ok ok

  20. Neustradamus

    ok !

  21. Neustradamus

about the CommTeam, it will be possible to see today?

  22. Neustradamus

    stpeter: why http://jabber.org/protocol/ is now http://xmpp.org/protocols/ ? and not http://xmpp.org/protocol/ ?

  23. Neustradamus

Have you planned to update all XEPs with the good "link" ? example XEP-0045: http://jabber.org/protocol/muc#request -> http://xmpp.org/protocols/muc/#request or http://xmpp.org/protocol/muc/#request ?

  24. Kev

If you're asking about changing the namespaces inside XEPs, no, that's not likely to happen.

  25. Kev

Well, not until there's an incompatible schema change, and it's unlikely one of those would get through for something like e.g. MUC.

  26. Kev

    (Which is Draft)

  27. Neustradamus

    have you look http://jabber.org/protocol/muc#request ?

  28. Zash

and aren't we doing urn:xmpp:... nowdays

  29. Kev

Zash: Yes, for all new namespaces.

  30. Neustradamus

    http://xmpp.org/protocols/muc/#request works...

  31. Kev

If you're saying that the namespace URIs aren't pointing to a valid HTTP resource, that's ok, they don't need to.

  32. Kev

Indeed, as Zash says, we're using URNs instead of HTTP resource URIs these days anyway.

  33. Neustradamus

    ok

  34. Alex

    hi guys

  35. Kev

  83. bear

yea, a few folks i'm surprised to find who didn't reapply

  84. Alex

    also Nicoloas

  85. stpeter

yeah, but Fritzy is a Council member -- we need to clarify some of the rules about that....

  86. Neustradamus

stpeter: about teams, we can update the website...

  87. stpeter writes it on his whiteboard so he remembers

  88. MiGri

maybe they didn't remember to reapply. that happens to me once, too ;)

  89. stpeter

    MiGri: true

  90. Alex

I remind everybody per email normally before the application period ends

  91. stpeter

Neustradamus: yes we should update the website about that

  92. Alex

but its also holiday time right now

  93. stpeter
