    stpeter: well, messages from XMPP to GTalk would go in a black hole if the other party didn't use the GTalk service

    that seems to have changed, as my messages to intosi from Gajim ended up in his (and my) Hangouts

    ralphm, FWIW I heard on the grapevine that there has been some internal backtracking on the issue of federation
