    Hm, regarding XEP-0191, there's also blocking of bare host JIDs.

    It would be interesting to know how 191 is used in the wild.

    Personally I'm mostly using it to block a few rampant spam sources. Not sure I ever used it to block a contact.

    Altho I have also used blocking as a way to reject subscription requests that were likely from spam bots.
