  1. nyco

at last, blog post published: https://xmpp.org/2020/02/newsletter-04-february/ I made again an error: last month it was on the file name this month, it was on the date I'll try to be original next month 馃檪

  2. nyco

  6. Ge0rG

    Licaon_Kter: can you enumerate them?

  7. Licaon_Kter

Umm, let me rephrase, text starting with http that's a link but I can't click it since "it's not a link"

  8. Ge0rG

    Ah, yes. That.

  9. pep.

heh, in the thanks, "jwi" and "horazont" are the same person :p (right?)

  10. Ge0rG

    also jsc?

  11. N每co

    > Still full of unclickable links yes if you know how to do it simply, without losing some much time...

  12. N每co

    > heh, in the thanks, "jwi" and "horazont" are the same person :p (right?) maybe, I don't know that

  13. N每co

FYI, or as a reminder, I gave a lightning talk during the second day of summit around that maybe I failed to give a rough idea of the energy and time it takes

  14. Licaon_Kter

    > yes > if you know how to do it simply, without losing some much time... You mean me editing it in that CMS or what?

  15. N每co

    > You mean me editing it in that CMS or what? I mean "without losing some much time..." who does what, whatever

  26. peetah

hi all, I've been translating the XMPP newsletter in french for the past 3 months on linuxfr.org

  27. peetah

since N每co invited me to see what's happening here, I'll stay for a little while to see how the XMPP communication team does its magic

  28. peetah

that makes me realize that I don't know anything about how to stay in touch with a MUC

  29. peetah

I mean, with IRC, I have a bouncer always connected that serves a backlog when I connect, but I'm not aware of anything like this for XMPP

  30. peetah

for now I'm just using Conversations and Profanity, but I'm not aware of a way to get the backlog of a MUC

  31. peetah

    with any of them

  32. nyco

hey peetah thanks a lot for the awesome work!

  33. nyco

in your XMPP client, bookmark and auto-join this MUC 馃檪

  34. peetah

    you're welcome

  35. nyco

    Conversations and Profanity are great

  36. peetah

it's already done, but will the server send me all the backlog from the time of my last connection ?

  37. nyco

nope, but Conversations will stay connected

  38. nyco

    I don't know Profanity so

  39. peetah

Conversations does get me the back log !

  40. peetah

    fine, ready to observe :)

  41. nyco

    good
