Good enough... for open source aware activists, not for John and Jane Doe who dont grasp the advantages of being 'open whatever' and even less the requirements for being decentralized and independent
peetah
But that is the global marketing issue in the open source world, not just xmpp

DebXWoody: maybe avoid using the floating identifier that is "open" (read: it means too many different things to many) what's an Open Community even, never heard of it

Hey,
We have 2 items we'd loved considered for the next newsletter.
Our newest release 3.7.1https://github.com/esl/MongooseIM/releases
And a load-testing blog that showed how our XMPP server could handle almost 2.5 million connections, passing 45 thousand messages per second. We believe with further testing that we could easily show the server handling 10 million connections.

MIMnews2020, there should be a PR in the xsf/xmpp.org repo to which you can PR yourself (PR against a branch that's not master) if you want to make sure it's not gonna be forgotten :)

I tried to PR the MongooseIM new release, but it is clearly out of my league: I'm certain to misreport what this new version brings :)

Something like this for XMPP or some XEPs/interaction would be great! https://twitter.com/chadwallacehart/status/1265751894607224832/photo/1

when I said "I tried" it does not mean I committed the PR, just that I tried to write something clever and failed :p

Everyone who has enough rights in the Github repo can now also set a newsletter label to their PRs. So its even more less likely I miss those ;)

peetah, but dont be sad if you cannot simplify specific news. We do what we can to improve, but it is not a must do.
