  17. Licaon_Kter

Weren't they all coming from that address all this time? Mark as "not spam" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  18. emus (XSF Com. Team)

The email topic has been raised, but twice rejected so far

  19. Alex

yes, it was been always comong from his address, and my ESP (Microsoft) has always been flaging t as junk ;-)

  20. emus (XSF Com. Team)

Similar to this topic, I wanted to ask if anyone has the motivation to review this list (take it as start) as an alternative provider for the newsletter email subscription. If there is a pricing, please ignore it for the moment. First of all we would like to see if there are potentially other and better options with regards to especially privacy: https://www.winosbite.com/tinyletter-alternatives/

  21. sam

I always just use Mailchimp. It's a bit more expensive if you end up needing the paid plans, but I've always had great experiences with them, their support, and they treat their employees really well.

  22. sam

(they're also based in Atlanta, where I am though, so for me it's also about using someone local)

  23. emus (XSF Com. Team)

    How is it about tracking?

  24. sam

No idea, we can enable a tracking pixel or link redirects I think, but as far as I know they don't do it themselves.

  25. Licaon_Kter

sam: the question was more about disabling tracking I guess This is not a marketing campaign so not sure it is needed. Something-something-privacy :)

  26. Licaon_Kter

Tinyletter appears to lack such controls

  27. emus (XSF Com. Team)

    yes ^ disabling

  28. sam

Yah, as far as I know it's optional. They may redirect images through their servers, I can't remember, which *technically* can be used for tracking, but I think they do that to make sure that the people using them aren't trying to track or harvest peoples IPs themselves.

  29. emus (XSF Com. Team)

Its nice too see some informational feedback. but I prefer to refuse before people get angry

  30. emus (XSF Com. Team)

because off all that link or google captcha

  31. emus (XSF Com. Team)

    and they are right

  32. purplebeetroot

    Mailtrain, phpList, Sympa, Mautic, Mailman

  33. purplebeetroot

just to name alternatives that I'm aware off.

  34. purplebeetroot

    > Similar to this topic, I wanted to ask if anyone has the motivation to review this list (take it as start) Checked the overview, see that they don't present any of the more known opesource solutions but proprietary software. Closing.
