Hi there

You probably know that I'm the main translator of the newsletter in french and that the french translation is not published in xmpp.org. I can't use github for ethical reasons, but perhaps we could find a solution to that, sending patches or just the md file of the translated newsletter, with a particular name and header. To make that even easier, and because I'm currently organizing the translation planning, it could happen at a fixed date. Because the french translation is a collaborative project, it could be at least a week after the original letter is published. Please tell me your opinion, I'm open to proposals ;) (but nothing that breaks my ethical ideas :x)

I second this. I wont use github for ethical reasons either so i am very interested in a solution because i would like to translate the newsletter to greek at some point.

Sadly from what i have read moving or mirroring the repos is not possible so we are going to have to find some alternative solution

Maybe one solution could be to make a repo in sr.ht or codeberg that can contain all the translations in one place with the same layout as the github repo. So its easy to merge

Well one can host a git repo anywhere and ask somebody else to pull, yeah

Even though I'm sorry I say this as a dev, it might not be obvious to everyone here. Happy to help/teach the procedure if needed
