  3. pep.

I'm looking at the pad for the newsletter. Maybe we should phrase this differently

  4. pep.

The feedback is mostly for the peertube-chat plugin

  5. pep.

Prosody is likely barely at fault

  6. pep.

I'm not entirely sure how to phrase this though

  7. pep.

I have also added a link to the plugin author's blogpost

  8. MattJ

It helped to identify a number of possible optimizations in the Peertube live chat plugin. Read the [plugin author's post here] for more details.

  9. MattJ

    ^ suggestion

  10. pep.

    Yeah that's nice, I'm updating it :)

  11. MattJ

    Thanks!

  12. MattJ

I'm currently working on some printed material for the FOSDEM stand (hopefully usable by others at conferences this year too)

  13. pep.

    Cool! :)

  14. pep.

    Looking forward to it

  15. pep.

English question: "it helped to identify", "it helped identify", I hear both, what would be the difference?

  16. MattJ

Both are valid and there isn't really a difference

  17. MattJ

    Sorry :)

  18. emus

    MattJ: cool

  19. pep.

    Ok

  21. MattJ

    XMPP ecosystem fragmentation right there

  22. MattJ

    /s

  23. emus

    haha

  24. emus

I hope you make some adds for snikket as well ;-)

  25. emus

    nice!

  26. emus

    is it hosted somewhere?

  27. MattJ

It's a PDF that I'll aim to get printed before FOSDEM (my colour printer is broken, unfortunately)

  28. MattJ

I'll try to make a couple of others too, and possibly some updated Snikket ones (we still have some left from last year though)

  29. MattJ

IIRC there were some other materials developed a few years ago that could be updated too (generic XMPP info)

  30. MattJ

But I'll have to dig around, unless someone knows where to find what I'm talking about

  31. emus

would love to see this rendered

  32. emus

    Worth for the newsletter https://noahpinion.substack.com/p/the-internet-wants-to-be-fragmented

  33. emus

    ?

  34. Licaon_Kter

MattJ: dino on Windows? As much as on macOS

  35. emus

I go with Matt, if you want it on Windows you can have it

  36. Licaon_Kter

I didn't say that. I said, if you say it's on Windows (via the unofficial fork) Then you can edit the table to say it's on macOS too (via homebrew)

  37. emus

    Ah ok

  38. emus

Well, likely yes. However, do thr diddle-li-dino devs agree?

  39. Licaon_Kter

    Not with Windows either then

  40. Licaon_Kter

    > Worth for the newsletter? https://noahpinion.substack.com/p/the-internet-wants-to-be-fragmented Started ok but ended as _"moar silos is moar better"_. So imho, no.
