Licaon_Kter, neox: yes. There hasn't been any official announcement about xep updates in february. Some XEP PRs have been merged, but there were no announcement emails, no changelogs.. the editor process is broken at the moment

Hello all. I’m experimenting a bit with bridging OpenAI chat and the XMPP network, to see what this can be used for. If anyone is interested to try, you can chat with xmpp:chatgpt@labtagroot.io. Image generation can be tested by chatting with xmpp:dalle256@lab.tagroot.io, xmpp:dalle512@lab.tagroot.io or xmpp:dalle1024@lab.tagroot.io.
For more info, or QR-codes to the above JIDs, https://lab.tagroot.io/Community/Post/OpenAI_integration_with_the_Neuron✎

While the gateways above have minimal instruction, it is possible to fine-tune a model with up to 1 GB data using a dedicated instance it seems. It would be possible to make a bot, for instance, that can learn about all XEPs and then help people to find relevant XMPP-related information.

Peter Waher: I would be happy to see such bot, but a bot responting to xep numbers would be great too.
i think once i tried to sketch a xep overview too
I asked:
Whats the first xmpp xep I should read about?

> If you are new to XMPP, it is recommended to start with the XMPP Core (RFC 6120) and XMPP IM (RFC 6121) specifications as they provide a solid foundation for understanding the basics of XMPP.
> Once you have a good understanding of the core protocol, you can start exploring some of the XMPP Extension Protocols (XEPs) that add specific features and functionalities to XMPP.
> The following XEPs are also a good place to start:
> 1. XEP-0030: Service Discovery - Provides a way for clients to discover what features a server supports.
> 2. XEP-0045: Multi-User Chat - Allows multiple users to communicate in a shared chat room.
> 3. XEP-0060: Publish-Subscribe - Allows clients to subscribe to and receive updates from a published information feed.
> 4. XEP-0199: XMPP Ping - Defines a mechanism for checking whether a client or server is still present and responsive.
> 5. XEP-0363: HTTP File Upload - Enables clients to upload files to a server and share a URL with others.
> Once you gain more experience, you can explore the vast collection of XEPs and choose the ones that are relevant to your needs.

XEP-0060 a good place to start 😂

pep.
OTOH.. you'll hear about 0045 and 0060 very soon. They're used everywhere
pep.
Even if they're certainly very much not accessible
