  1. Schimon

Good day! The video should be available now at https://video.xmpp-it.net/w/cfozoUeVLFbBFMCCSCJ1Dn Blasta - An XMPP PubSub Annotation Management System (06:38)

  2. Schimon

gnemmi. May you please add the length of time of the video at the end of the line? > Blasta: Full introduction and detailed video presentation of the Blasta system (06:38). I think that the mention of that short time span would motivate more people to watch it.

  3. Schimon

    > Schimon: did you list this und xmpp.org/software too? emus. I suggest to create a new tab for Libervia, Movim and Blasta. That tab may be labeled as "Publishing" or "Social". I prefer the label "Publishing".

  4. Schimon

Perhaps also to rename "Apps / Clients" by "Chat Clients", though this is another matter.

  5. cal0pteryx

Schimon: you can update the pad yourself, if you want. Everybody can edit the pad https://pad.nixnet.services/oHnY_ZvLT8SoFyCqIC2ung

  6. cal0pteryx

Also regarding xmpp.org/software, categorizing apps is hard. I'd like to keep category count to a minimum

  7. Schimon

    > Perhaps also to rename "Apps / Clients" by "Chat Clients", though this is another matter. emus. Please ignore my suggestion.

  8. Schimon

    > Schimon: you can update the pad yourself, if you want. Everybody can edit the pad https://pad.nixnet.services/oHnY_ZvLT8SoFyCqIC2ung cal0pteryx. Done. Thank you.

  9. Schimon

    > Also regarding xmpp.org/software, categorizing apps is hard. I'd like to keep category count to a minimum cal0pteryx. With what category would you label Blasta?

  10. cal0pteryx

    It's a Tool

  11. Schimon

Kris. Blasta can be run from desktop and also be served via a server. Do you have any suggestion as of how to brand it for these purposes?

  12. Kris

    same?

  13. Schimon

    Kris. What is your question?

  14. Kris

    same brand

  15. Schimon

Sorry. I meant, how should I convey it?

  16. Kris

sorry, I don't know. I am not really the target group of Blasta.

  17. Schimon

    Fine. Thank you.

  18. emus

    >> Im thinking also if we should additionally make a separate post with only the XEP develop in as an extra blogpost in addition to the newsletter. Its the core work of the XSF >> >> Let me know what you thino > Im not pretty sure about that. I mean, the XEP section exposes the core work of the XFS in the Newsletter for everyone to see. If we had a separate post for XEP's only, I would tend to think that it would never reach the general public ( as only devels would be interested about it ) thus hindering the core work from the XSF for the general public. I dont me that we not gonna continue with the newsletter (so of course lets continue this). Just an additional post only on xeps.

  19. emus

    >> we did not have links before? > Nope .. that's why I added them I think thats great

  20. emus

    > gnemmi: we had links to the updated xeps until I got too lazy :) > It's time to automate this task.. yup

  21. emus

gnemmi: So, if you want, you can next prepare the PR for the newsletter. it basically covers: - create a new file in the manner we do - name the branch in the manner we do - add the content and structure - update based on new month - use the standard description for the pr description after creation all you can take and see from the last PR: https://github.com/xsf/xmpp.org/pull/1420/commits/b7afca39bda6ef09f6d69f4b8ed73cd280b0ada8 CC: cal0pteryx

  22. emus

I hope its not to briefly explained

  23. Mari0

    > It's a Tool Utility?

  24. gnemmi

    emus, cal0pteryx I think I've got it

  25. gnemmi

    2 things

  26. gnemmi

    1) bear with me ..

  27. gnemmi

    2) The standar descritption: "The XMPP Newsletter August 2024"

  28. gnemmi

    would that be ok?

  29. gnemmi

new branch: newsletter-agugust24 new file: 2024-09-05-newsletter.md

  30. gnemmi

    Also added: /static/images/newsletter/2024-09-05

  31. gnemmi

    and : /static/images/newsletter/2024-09-05/movim-0.27.png

  32. gnemmi

and updated the newsletter accordingly to pick up the picture

  33. gnemmi

I should probably delete the reference to Prav.app under Gsoc

  34. gnemmi

Oh .. I got it: "DRAFT: The XMPP Newsletter August 2024" <- that's the standar description 😊

  35. gnemmi

I should probably delete the "### XMPP Libraries & Tools" title too .. as there are no Libraries & Tools news for this month =/

  36. cal0pteryx

gnemmi: please leave those as placeholders

  37. gnemmi

I certainly could move Blasta from "Clients and Applications" and put it under "Libraries & Tools" .. it is a publication tool after all

  38. gnemmi

    > gnemmi: please leave those as placeholders Sure. Will leave the title untouched 😊

  39. gnemmi

I just did moved Blasta under "Libraries & Tools" 🙂

  40. gnemmi

    cal0pteryx, emus : https://github.com/xsf/xmpp.org/pull/1427

  41. gnemmi

    I just hope I didn't do *that* bad 🫠

  42. emus

gnemmi: You are doing a great job out of nowhere. so credit taken and acknowledged ❤️ I will suggest some small things, but in general, well done!

  43. gnemmi

    > gnemmi: You are doing a great job out of nowhere. so credit taken and acknowledged ❤️ > > I will suggest some small things, but in general, well done! Thank you so *very* *very* much !!! 🤗😊😊

  44. gnemmi

I really appreciate your kind words 🥰

  45. gnemmi

I didn't do any edits to the Newsletter because I know that's up to you guys, but I was really tempted to delete:
