  1. gnemmi

    Hello everyone!

  2. gnemmi

I just sent the XMPP Newsletter for October 24 PR

  3. gnemmi

    https://github.com/xsf/xmpp.org/pull/1446

  4. gnemmi

It may be Nov 1 in Berlin but, in all fairness, it still is October 31 10:49 over here 😁

  5. gnemmi

I did the best that I could but I have to reckon that I am complete werck by now ..

  6. gnemmi

The day started way too early and was just as rough as I knew it was going to be 🫠

  7. gnemmi

Anyway, I still manage to create de PR ( even if I just realized that I screwed up with a comment in a commit 😬)

  8. gnemmi

Where it says "Create 2024-10-05-newsletter.md" it should say "Create 2024-11-05-newsletter.md" but that's just about it .. the actual file is the right one: 2024-11-05-newsletter.md

  9. gnemmi

@all please review carefully, review thoroughly ..

  10. gnemmi

As usual, I've been all over the file for the whole month once again until what I couldn't see I just won't see it no matter how many times I go all over it again

  11. Kris

isn't that google summer of code stuff a bit old?

  12. gnemmi

hum ... may be .. but in all honesty I didn't read any annoucement by Monal saying it was over or that there was any further progress ..

  13. gnemmi

    I did check the blog thought .. but I didn't find a 3rd entry .

  14. Kris

sounds like maybe it didn't go so well in the end? seems to happen quite often with GoSC

  15. gnemmi

I could very well be .. and that's actually what happen with the other project .. but I do follow Monal's development ( because I work on the Spanish Latin America translation ) and often read Thilo mentioning how many hours a week he spent working on the project ( UX rework at the moment .. moving to Swift)

  16. gnemmi

give me a sec so I can check something

  17. Kris

otherwise it looks good to me

  18. gnemmi

    yup ... october 21 "last weeks monal-time: 25 hours and 3 minutes"

  19. gnemmi

Of course I may still be 100% wrong !

  20. gnemmi

    > otherwise it looks good to me Thank *so* very very much Kris 🤗🤗🤗

  21. gnemmi

Kris, I really appreciate you taking the time to take a look at it and review it! 🤗

  22. gnemmi

I really hope I didn't screw up that much this month .. I'm a complete wreck .. Can hardly keep my eyes on the screen

  23. Kris

well I only briefly looked at it, so maybe if someone else also has a look that would be probably better

  24. Kris

ah, for that it seems fine. I didn't check for any errors in the markdown or so though

  25. Kris

    don't worry :)

  26. gnemmi

    > ah, for that it seems fine. I didn't check for any errors in the markdown or so though and that's a lot already!. There are plenty of eyes on this room to scrutinize that file .. and I really hope they do 😉

  27. gnemmi

    Hello everyone!

  28. gnemmi

Please let me know when we can clean the pad and start adding news for the November Newsletter ..

  29. gnemmi

We already have a new Openfire release: https://github.com/igniterealtime/Openfire/releases/tag/v4.9.1

  30. gnemmi

I'll start working on a local file for the time being and until we have a clean pad 🙂
