I can add the link to the pad later but wanted to ask about the following quote:

Would it be more accurate to say this? > XMPP is an open standard recognised by the IETF and governed by the XMPP Standards Foundation. Messaging platforms can enable interoperability using XMPP

Not sure if it can be changed now as it's a print newspaper but they could issue errata I suppose

It depends what you think "is xmpp"

XMPP as such is the RFCs which are lETF managed. XSF only does the XEPs

In other words, the original description is not wrong so we don't have to go out of our way to "fix" it?

Imo
