  1. gnemmi

    Hello everyone!

  2. gnemmi

We are still on Draft and nicoco just tagged a new release of slidge-whatsapp .. would it be ok if I add it to the December Newsletter?

  5. badrihippo

It's technically in January and this is a December newsletter but...I'll leave it to others to decide πŸ€”

  6. gnemmi

We are still in Draft: "Create Draft in Pad & GitHub - Last Call for final edits -> 1st - 2nd of the month - Collection of news" as per the PR title

  7. gnemmi

And we still don't have a single review

  8. gnemmi

Come to think of it, I could also add jan 1 releases of go-xmpp and go-sendxmpp ..

  9. gnemmi

    emus, your call

  10. *IM*

Today I wrote my third E-Mail because of the "DI.day" ...

    > Today I wrote my third E-Mail because of the "DI.day" ... What mean third email?

  13. emus

A kind reminder to contribute to the 2025 highlights: https://pad.nixnet.services/x87ng-viRoGzVtjeIv7Luw?view#

  14. gnemmi

    > Is okay! Perfect!. Just made 2 commits

  15. gnemmi

    - go-xmpp version 0.3.2 from Jan 1 - go-sendxmpp version 0.15.5 from Jan 1 - slidge-whatsapp version 0.3.9 from jan 2

  16. gnemmi

    and

  17. gnemmi

    - Quicksy 1.17.0 from December 28 - Quicksy 1.21.0 from Jan 2

  18. gnemmi

    > A kind reminder to contribute to the 2025 highlights: > > https://pad.nixnet.services/x87ng-viRoGzVtjeIv7Luw?view# I've already been gathering some ( at least to me ) highlights, could you please make at least one entry so I can follow the example with the rest of them?

  19. gnemmi

    I've got:

  20. gnemmi

Kaidan NLnet - april Gajim 2.0 - april Liverbia NLnet - july ejabberd and convo - july Movim 0.3.1 implements NLNet funded simultaneous webcam and screen sharing. - july XMPP Interop Testing: MOAR TESTS! - july Launch of the XMPP / Fediverse Bridge! - july Conversations requires TLS 1.3 for all connections with setting to opt out 2.19.3 - august Latest OMEMO support to Converse.js - October More Adoption of XMPP Providers in the XMPP Ecosystem - october The difference between XMPP and ActivityPub, explained through the Blog feature - november 8 NLnet fundings granted for 6 XMPP projects (Kaidan, Dino, Libervia, ejabberd, Convo, Converse.js)

  21. gnemmi

and that covers less than half of the year

  22. gnemmi

also, did it on a rush

  23. emus

    > Kaidan NLnet - april > Gajim 2.0 - april > Liverbia NLnet - july > ejabberd and convo - july > Movim 0.3.1 implements NLNet funded simultaneous webcam and screen sharing. - july > XMPP Interop Testing: MOAR TESTS! - july > Launch of the XMPP / Fediverse Bridge! - july > Conversations requires TLS 1.3 for all connections with setting to opt out 2.19.3 - august > Latest OMEMO support to Converse.js - October > More Adoption of XMPP Providers in the XMPP Ecosystem - october > The difference between XMPP and ActivityPub, explained through the Blog feature - november > 8 NLnet fundings granted for 6 XMPP projects (Kaidan, Dino, Libervia, ejabberd, Convo, Converse.js) Just drop it there. No big deal I would say

  24. gnemmi

also the new/revamped providers.xmpp.net overview ( which looks awesome )

  25. gnemmi

    > Just drop it there. No big deal I would say Will do and we'll see what we can do later on πŸ‘

  26. gnemmi

emus, cal0pteryx also wanted to ask you, would it be possible to add one more field to providers?

  27. emus

    What field do you mean?

  28. gnemmi

A piece of information about the provider

  29. gnemmi

I've been doing quite a few onboardings in the last week and found out that it would be pretty useful to know whether or not a given provider has implemented DANE

  30. gnemmi

As that particular piece of info about a provider could make a difference when the end user needs to decide which provider should chose

  31. gnemmi

emus, added (rushed) some of the highlights I had collected in https://pad.nixnet.services/x87ng-viRoGzVtjeIv7Luw?view

  32. gnemmi

emus, I think I might be done with the highlights .. at least in regard to what I consider the 2025 highlights .. I've already added everything that I remembered and found in different documents.

  33. gnemmi

It is worth noting that one or 2 links may not work due to https://blog.mathieui.net/en/ being down

  34. Link Mauve

    It isn’t down though?

  35. gnemmi

Link Mauve, idk .. I get in even once in the whole day

  36. Link Mauve

gnemmi, I just refreshed it many times and it does work.

  37. gnemmi

Link Mauve, yup .. I still get a "The server at blog.mathieui.net is taking too long to respond."

  38. Link Mauve

You can report it to mathieui in any other xsf@ MUC.

  39. gnemmi

I'll give it a few hours. I've been sitting all day working on the highliths and the Newsletter ( as for some unexplainable reason, apparently everybody decided to release today! .. Slidge, Kaidan, Quicksy, go-xmpp, go-sendxmpp, xmpp-dns ... ) and my back is killing me =P
