xmpp.social is down and has been having so many ups and downs that I can't rely on it anymore

will take me sometime to join all the other MUCs

arne, yeah ... it was super reliable and I onboarded a lot of people in it .. but it has been having too many problems and I can no longer rely on it for my communications

I will also have to re onboard a lot of people 🫠

nope .. but this isn't something new .. last year it was down for more than 24 hours, then back, then down again for another 24 hours .. and has been like that too many times for my taste

I did get in touch with him last time though

Then the again .. here we are offline again

ij is a super nice guy, absolutely nothing to complain about though

Pretty likely ... but there's this one thing that called my attention too: hookipa is no longer listed in providers.xmpp.net

It was a Category A provider

I have my whole family in there ..

And everyone I onboarded in the last week of the year, during the Monocles and Conversations Google Play free offer

gnemmi, hookipa.net / xmpp.social are both still listed https://providers.xmpp.net/provider/hookipa.net/

That's weird ... it doesn't show up on https://providers.xmpp.net/ under Category A 🤔

That's because "Registration is closed" (which may be a result of "Provider is offline")

That explains a lot

I really whish ij will manage to get it back online .. because, for real, I have a ton on people in there .. and if he doesn't .. I'll have a ton of work to do to onboard everyone in other provider 🫠

Let alone getting everyone to verify each others OMEMO keys/fingerprints 🤯
