*Chat of the Future Initiative: Spring Activities Discussion Session* Dear all, Within the last month, we held two initial sessions for the Chat of the Future Initiative. Participants first drew a broad picture by reviewing the network's status quo and sharing their thoughts on what is going well and where improvements can be made. Based on your votes, as well as the results of the initial efforts, the scope covered the user interface, user experience, and the adoption of XMPP, as well as the creation of new online community events. In the second session, participants took a closer look at what can actually be done within these areas. Tomorrow, Tuesday 3rd February 2026 at 19:00 - 19:45 (UTC+1), the Spring Activities Discussion Session will take place, where concrete suggestions for spring 2026 will be made based on participant views in response to the following questions: - Awareness of XMPP’s strong points: Formulate your initial session points as promotional statements. - How can general meetups and on-topic sessions (online) be organised most effectively? -- Which topics are you interested in? - How should an interoperability session be organised?
