  1. Tobias

15:10 UTC is what in CEST? 17:10

  2. Tobias

    ?

  3. Kev

If CEST is UTC+2, then yes :D

  4. Kev

I think CEST is BST+1, in which case, yes.

  6. ralphm

I always find it amusing how highly skilled technical people fail at timezones.

  7. ralphm

    (and programming VCRs)

  8. Kev

ralphm: Although everyone above got the right answer.

  9. Tobias

Kev, maybe we don't fall in the highly skilled technical people category :)

  10. Kev

    :(

  11. Kev

You know, I think I'm coming up to a third through reviewing 301 already. And it's only been an hour or two.

  12. Kev

    It's a wonder I didn't find time for this before :s

  13. Kev

    50%. Tearing through!

  14. Kev

Golly. Security considerations mentions timing attacks based on keypress transmission. I hadn't thought of that, and that's a really fun attack vector :D

  15. ralphm

    Kev: :-)

  16. Kev

I'm not sure that 'refer to the implementations if the spec isn't clear' is a good approach to spec writing!

  17. MattJ

    Heh

  18. Kev

I'm really not convinced I should need to use their implementation (or even that it's a good idea) to be able to review the XEP.

  19. ralphm

    +1

  20. Kev

I've raised the point of using normative language for MUST NOT spam people with RTT if they don't support it. I'd appreciate it if some well-informed people could express an opinion too, please.

  21. ralphm

Kev: I'm not entirely sure why this is not obvious.

  22. ralphm

Kev: We invented disco and pubsub and all that for this.

  23. ralphm

(so +1 on the MUST NOT)
