Tobias, If you can find someone else willing to take on either post I'll stand aside. But I thought that Council/Editor was in some ways worse, since the two act very closely, and to some extent the Editors decide what needs Council action on a case-by-case basis.

Tobias, I really don't like that I'm on Board and Council - you may recall that Board was uncontested, and was going to be short on candidates before I stood. I did consider dropping Council as a result, but then that would have been uncontested too...

Certainly having a year off is being quite relaxing.

I would rather have unique and brilliant people doing each thing, but in the absence of enough people, I"d rather have competent and sensible people with multiple roles than incompetents for the sake of uniqueness.

Also, nudge Ash again - he does get stuff done occasionally, but he's quite busy. I can see if I can liberate some time for him from my end.

Anyway, if Council will suggest adding me to the Editors, at least that's an extra warm body, even if without copious amounts of time it should help.
