how does one get permission to change things in the registrar repo? need to change things so they'll work together with Pelican
-
Kev
Submit a PR?
-
SamWhited
Or we could just give Tobias access so that someone else doesn't have to go merge his PR.
-
Kev
Sure, but things should go through PRs anyway, shouldn't they?
-
Kev
Review, and all that.
-
Tobias
since we have so much people idling around in the XSF just waiting to do stuff
-
SamWhited
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ probably, but I don't know what's actually changing so I dunno. Either way, letting him merge his own PR means he's unblocked and doesn't have to wait on someone else.
-
SamWhited
I trust him to notify the correct people if he's going to potentially break things
-
Tobias
i'll just fork and send a PR

-
Tobias
go..do your thing and hit the merge button

Kev
That's unpleasant :(
-
Tobias
of course it is, it's pelican
-
Tobias
but the end result looks okayish :)

Tobias: Maybe we should move all the HTML and what not into the website repo and have the registrar repo be just the XML? It feels weird to have parts of the website in different repos, and I can't imagine it makes your life any easier.
-
Tobias
we should review it all at one point...ideally have a content generation system that can call out to XSLT for XML files
-
Tobias
and does require to put the filename inside a file
-
SamWhited
*nods*
-
Kev
Just having the registrar stuff in the registrar repo and the pelican stuff living inside the website repo makes a lot of sense.
-
Tobias
that's exaggeration...but it sadly requires to put the target folder inside the file...you can't tell it to put content/foo/bla to output/foo/bla
-
Tobias
tada http://xmpp.org/registrar/
-
Tobias
better than nothing
-
SamWhited
Awesome! Tobias ++

Perfect. SO I'm after including more "defined in" sections here: http://xmpp.org/registrar/formtypes.html#http:--jabber.org-protocol-mucroomconfig for example.
