    it's about time

  2. Tobias

  5. Tobias

  6. Link Mauve

  7. daniel

I'm not really here. As I mentioned last time

  8. Link Mauve

    Hi from the RMLL. o/

  9. Tobias

    daniel, alright..sorry i forgot

  10. Tobias

    2) Minute taker

  11. Tobias

    I can write the minutes

  12. Tobias

    3) compare and publish is still not in the inbox, rihgt?

  13. SamWhited

    Correct

  14. Tobias

OMEMO/ODR discussion is probably still in progress, right

  15. SamWhited

I have sent an email to Kev with the process improvements I think need to be made for discussion; ball's in the iteams court for discussion or implementation now

  16. Kev

I don't think iteam have anything to do with it :)

  17. Kev

But I do have the mail I need to reply to.

  18. SamWhited

Yah, I guess they weren't all infrastructure related

  19. Tobias

    4) Date of next

  20. SamWhited

Andy sent an update to the OMEMO discussion from last week. It all sounds sane. TL;DR if you haven't seen it yet: He would like to remain involved, but does not feel that he has the time to do a full rewrite so finding a new author seems good (but he does have a few small changes to submit soon)

  21. Tobias

    alright

  22. SamWhited

    Sorry, I'm one behind Tobias

  23. Tobias

    no worries

  24. Tobias

anything actionable for the council now regarding OMEMO?

  25. SamWhited

Do we want to put out a call for a new author, or just let Andy make incremental changes as time allows?

  26. Tobias

Happy to call out for a new author and see if someone sensible shows up

  27. Tobias

so...for date of next...next week usual time?

  28. SamWhited

    WFM

  29. Tobias

    WFM too

  30. Tobias

    5) AOB

  31. SamWhited

The editor backlog is getting dire; while I don't think it will help in the long term, I may put out a call for more editors in the hopes that it will help in the short term. I'm concerned that if I do, no one will actually know how the process works to show them what to do, and it no longer matches what's in the README, and we no longer have a wiki, so I'm still torn. Thoughts welcome.

  32. SamWhited

Maybe it's worth waiting on discussion from Kev, or maybe it's worth doing immediately?

  33. Kev

    Call for help seems sensible.

  34. Tobias

    yup..sounds sensible

  35. Kev

I think the process improvements are orthogonal to that.

  36. daniel

Reminder to vote on publish options

  37. daniel

    And maybe other things

  38. daniel

    See trello

  39. SamWhited

Kev: Can you show any new people who volunteer how stuff works? I still don't know (remember?) how any of the docker things work or how to publish stuff

  40. Kev

I expect so. The one problem is that I *really* don't want to have to give editors shells on eos to do stuff.

  41. Kev

So maybe it's not as orthogonal as I thought.

  42. SamWhited

heh, yah, I was about to say that; if that's a blocker then we need to wait on process improvements.

  43. Kev

But equally, if people can do all the merge-work github-side, then actually deploying new images is not hard, even for me.

  44. SamWhited

So I guess we'll continue to wait on that; nevermind. Thanks all.

  45. Tobias

    thanks

  46. Tobias

    any other AOB?

  47. Tobias

    doesn't look like it

  48. Tobias bangs the gavel

  49. Tobias

    thanks everybody
