I was thinking of setting up a web application paired with a memberbot-like councilbot thing actually, and was about to ask what your (all) take on that would be

jonasw, Advantage of using the IETF datatracker is that - if it works for us, of course - we'd not be maintaining a load of code just for us. Adding XMPP notifications etc into that might persuade more IETF types to use their XMPP acocunts in between IETF meetings, too.
