XMPP Council - 2018-02-21

Going through my voting items, and https://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0186.html to Draft. I had a fair number of LC comments, none of which have been acknowledged or discussed, as far as I can see, but everyone is +1. I think it'd be healthy for people to actively disagree with the LC feedback if they don't like it, rather than tacitly dismissing it.

As usual, I was under the impression that all the LC feedback had been addressed by Peters changes a while back. We really need some way to track this sort of thing.

We do have such a way, but the way is going back over all the mailing list threads containing LC feedback, and it's somewhere between 'hellish' and 'completely unusable'.

I would be very very very happy for us to come up with some better way of ensuring LC feedback isn't lost.

I have a mailbox specifically for outstanding XSF stuff, while I'm on Council, and I keep LC comments in there until the voting's done - but that doesn't help when LCs started in the previous term.

Looks like, sadly, I'm not going to be able to make the meeting. I don't think there's anything to vote on, but I noticed that Goffi spotted some specifications that were based on SI that aren't deprecated.
