We should have voted on XEP-0403 yesterday. Then we could have prepared XEP-404 in time for Sunday.

Still can. Nothing stopping us releasing 404 before 403, if there's a suitable proposal.

I don't have time to write an appropriate XEP this year, though.

I had intended to, but April has come on rather quickly. I don't even remember what I was going to write, other than it being 404-based.

403 should just be a XEP that says "You aren't allowed to be reading this"

or something similar

404 should just be skipped so it's an actual 404 error, in my opinion :P

People who speak languages other than English: How is "Not Found" translated? This XEP needs an Internationalization section.

can xep-0500.html just be <stream:error><internal-server-error xmlns='urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-streams'/></stream:error> , might as well get all the jokes out of the way
