Ge0rGeverybody: I plan to provide an update to CS-2020 until the meeting tomorrow, so I'd like to request two votes:
a) shall XEP-0392 Consistent Color Generation be demoted from "Advanced IM Client" into "Future Development"?
b) Can we advance XEP-0423 to Draft, given the changes that I promise to have pushed some time tomorrow.
pep.Is the LC over already?
ZashLC is neverending
pep.Right, judging from past experiences
Ge0rGYes, LC ended on Nov 1st
Ge0rGI mean, the formal minimal length of the LC ended
Ge0rGMaybe Nov 2nd. You never quite know.
pep."end of business", amirite
pep."end of business day", amirite
Ge0rGyes. this is also what I'm going to do now. end of business.
pep.What does that even mean
KevI think the minimum length of LC on 423 ends tomorrow, no?
KevLC was issued on a Wednesday, and has a two-week minimum.
jonas’it ends right before the council meeting indeed
KevWell, the LC could have ended just before Council, but instead ends sometime after it.
KevBecause the LC was issued for CoB instead of exactly 14 days :)
Ge0rGOh, I'm very sorry.
KevSo I think we'll just have to vote on it advancing when LC expires as long as no feedback is received between the end of the meeting and the end of the LC. I don't see a problem with that.
Ge0rGI had looked at `cal 2019` but the month above November isn't October, and the 23rd there happened to be a Friday, so I estimated that the LC ended last week
KevSo I think we'll just have to vote (in the meeting) on it advancing when LC expires as long as no feedback is received between the end of the meeting and the end of the LC. I don't see a problem with that.
Ge0rGgiven that, we could still have the vote happen on the 13th, but with a one-week period instead of two weeks (I suppose the Chair can decide that, right?)
Ge0rGOtherwise, the Council election on 21st will render everything moot, and it will be all like Groundhog Day again, but without Bill Murray.
