  1. moparisthebest

Meeting in ~30 minutes right? My calendar entry dropped off and time changed last weekend here

  2. Zash

    Sounds about right

  3. moparisthebest

    Thanks!

  4. pep.

Probably not (yet) on the agenda, but https://github.com/xsf/xeps/pull/1275. Maybe that can make it to the next meeting

  5. moparisthebest

    Hello!

  6. Ge0rG

    Hello!

  7. moparisthebest

My aob for today will be clarifying the exact TZ of our meeting next week :)

  8. larma

    Do we have a daniel?

  9. daniel

    Yes I'm here. Sorry

  10. jonas’

    o/

  11. jonas’

    sorry

  12. daniel

    1) roll call

  13. jonas’

    o/

  14. moparisthebest

    \o

  15. daniel

    > Probably not (yet) on the agenda, but https://github.com/xsf/xeps/pull/1275. Maybe that can make it to the next meeting Ack'ing this. I'll put it on the agenda for next week. I'd rather not vote on it today. People have rightfully complained about these late additions

  16. larma

    👋️

  17. daniel

We don't have an agenda for this week and we also haven't seen any editor activity lately so I'm going to do what I did last week and jump right to:

  18. daniel

    Date of next

  19. moparisthebest

    And TX please

  20. moparisthebest

    And TZ please

  21. jonas’

+1w in Europe/Berlin TZ works for me.

  22. moparisthebest

    What time is that again

  23. jonas’

    16:00 UTC still next week

  24. daniel

The meeting has always been in Europe/Berlin. So we switch to summer time when Europe switches

  25. Ge0rG

CET->CEST is happening a week after that.

  26. Ge0rG

    on the 25th

  27. moparisthebest

    What time in Europe/Berlin

  28. jonas’

    17:0

  29. jonas’

    17:00

  30. moparisthebest

    Thanks! That'll work for me

  31. daniel

    > The meeting has always been in Europe/Berlin. So we switch to summer time when Europe switches This means that if you are outside Europe/Berlin you might experience two meeting time switches. But it should be fairly easy to set your calendar to Europe/Berlin (CET) and let that figure it out for you

  32. pep.

Europe/Berlin is still UTC+1 next week, for completeness

  33. daniel

    Yes.

  34. daniel

I was assuming that moparisthebest local time zone might switch hence the question?

  35. jonas’

I think it switched last weekend

  36. jonas’

judging by what went on in my activitypub feed

  37. daniel

    Fair enough

  38. jonas’

(and judging by "15:27:42 moparisthebest> Meeting in ~30 minutes right? My calendar entry dropped off and time changed last weekend here")

  39. moparisthebest

Yep I had my calendar set up like that but it dropped off, will reset and no problems, thanks :)

  40. pep.

Too many USicans on my Mastodon TL too.

  41. jonas’

(foone was funny at least with their faked win95 timezone change screen)

  42. Zash

yeah, we're in the two weeks of chaos between US DST change and EU DST change

  43. moparisthebest

    Fun times

  44. daniel

    Anyway moving on

  45. daniel

    AOB

  46. moparisthebest

    None here

  47. daniel

    OK assuming none.

  48. daniel

    Close

  49. daniel

Thank you all. See you next week

  50. moparisthebest

    Thanks all

  51. jonas’

    thanks, until then!

  52. pep.

    > daniel> People have rightfully complained about these late additions Open to suggestions on other ways to achieve this fwiw. I just think using pubsub without this kind of feature is shooting yourself in the foot.

  53. pep.

This prevents us from using it for anything that needs reliability

  54. pep.

This prevents us from using pubsub for anything that needs reliability

  55. daniel

    Late additions to the agenda

  56. daniel

    Not to xeps

  57. pep.

    Oh

  58. pep.

heh, yeah I wasn't expecting it to be handled this week

  59. moparisthebest

    Never add anything to pubsub!

  60. moparisthebest

    /s

  61. pep.

fwiw, it's a pain to navigate in it, just like any big-ish XEP

  62. pep.

That's a pro for many small documents to extend a base feature IMO

  63. MattJ

That's what makes MIX so easy to follow

  64. moparisthebest

    🤣

  65. pep.

    I said small

  66. pep.

(But that helps your point, probably)
