Wasn't it the case that 424 and 425 were rejected in last call, and Council needed to let me know if it was a Rejection or back to Experimental or something? I forget.

No, they are not

Both appear to be Proposed. They failed their Council vote, I'm told, but I don't know which of the two outcomes they failed with.

Council decided to not advance them to stable but did not decide what else to do with it

ah I see. sorry I was confused. I thought those were stable and we were voting on merging the PR

If it was Stable, I would clearly be against that change, as this is not a change we can make to a stable XEP (otherwise it wouldn't be stable at all)

I think there's a security hole in the 425 PR btw, put a GitHub comment right before the meeting, will review more later

it's an IQ sent to the server; the service can just validate that, no?

it's not clients that parse that or something
