heads up: I’m currently on vacation. I usually don’t have anything planned for the time council meeting takes place so I didn’t say anything last week. however I did get a little lazy writing the agenda in advance. here is my take on the status quo. message retraction votes expire today. there was an update but there is still some list discussion going on so my recommendation would be to just let the vote expire and I'll restart LC after yet another update or so. additionally goffi is planning to resubmit the three gateway xeps as one. so nothing to vote on that one either

this means empty agenda as far as I’m concerned. We can still have the meeting though in case you want to raise anything during the AOB section

I'm fine with skipping, I'll propose a merged version later, I'm too busy probably until FOSDEM.

Do we need a new LC or can't we just start a new vote?
-
daniel
on paper or in practice? I think if the list discussion gets resolved relatievly soon editor can just 'extend' the current LC
-
daniel
if however it gets forgotten (lets hope it doesn’t) we might want to vote on it again in three years or whatever

If we don't actively move the XEP to Experimental it stays Proposed, which is effectively "ongoing LC", no?
-
daniel
yes...
-
daniel
but I think there were cases were we awkwardly moved it back to experimental only to eventually start a new LC

goffi
With the new PR of jcbrand, I think that most issues have been addressed, aren't they? Extending the LC is probably the easiest option.

yes extending / restarting is what I meant
-
daniel
I guess the only difference would have been another email being send out. but let's call it extending
-
daniel
so should we just skip today? is this fine with you larma and singpolyma?

singpolyma
seems fine
