XMPP Council - 2025-06-12

Hi. Daniel, following discussion "Renaming git main branches." on members@, I would like to add the topic to change the main branch from `master` to `main` for all repos concerning Council (if I'm not mistaken, that would be `xeps`, `registrar`, `schemas`, `xep-attic` and `rfcs`). Thanks!

Idk I think Editor can just do that

I'm trying to come up with a list of things that need changing

What scripts and so on

I think the main issue is that we probably need to change the docker deploy scripts and I literally don't know how to do this

I can probably fix it unless it's some Github Actions stuff doing it

The website should just be a matter of switching the branch it pulls

Just do it, I'm sure we'll find out what breaks and fix it :)

I can do the actual renaming through github. But I would need someone to do the fixing in a relatively timely manner afterwards

I'm not sure much for xeps will break, if it's still run the way it used to be by scripts against the checked out branch.

If you do it, would it be just for the xep repo or for the entire project?

Editor would be doing anything that is edior related. Attic, registry
