I have a last minute change today, I have to leave early. I'll attend the beginning of the meeting (5 min) and try to continue a bit later on the phone. Sorry.

I don't think that there is anything new to vote on.

OK. I was actually thinking about starting the vote on advancing 440 and pubsub server info. However I guess we can also just defer this to next council

Today is our second to last meeting so this would have been tight anyway

Not that it matters much to me, but why _not_ start the vote? 2 weeks is plenty, voting can occur off-list?

what do other council members feel about starting a vote on advancing channel binding and pubsub server info?

as I said above that would require everyone to vote (on list) within the next week

or we just let new council start it in 2 weeks time

I think starting the vote now makes sense. Both have been well discussed on the mailing list

Anything contentious is likely to turn up in very short order rather than 13 days from now

I like Forums. I've got a couple of ideas and questions, but I'll save em for after the meeting.

so full transparency: the reason i've been hesitent to vote on this is that tbh i don’t feel super qualified in all that pubsub blogging + social media stuff. it's just not something that i think about all that much

and there _seems_ to be a bit of overlap with other XEPs

however in the interest of giving people a stable base to work on i'm +1
