XMPP Council - 2025-12-02

  1. goffi

Hi daniel, I don't see the Forum XEP in your update, should not it be published? Thanks.

  2. Daniel

Yes I had limited time. I put priority on the things we need in our meeting

  3. goffi

Daniel, OK no problem, I just wanted to be sure that it has not been forgotten. There i no rush on it anyway.

  4. dan.caseley

    Apologies - I won't make today's session. I've got a last minute work clash :(

  28. singpolyma

the name seems a bit specific. it's caps for stream features, could be used for things other than auth

  30. larma

Re b: I think the element name is a little confusing (as it's not the name of the feature inside the features blcok), but that aside, it makes sense

    Thanks daniel, thanks all.

  48. badrihippo

I love how efficient XSF text meetings are

  49. dwd

So efficient I missed it! But I saw no questions on IAP anyway.

  50. badrihippo

What do IAP, AOB, and LC mean?

  51. badrihippo

Oh I'm guessing LC = Last Call

  52. badrihippo

And AOB = Any Other Business?

  53. MattJ

    Yep

  54. MattJ

    IAP = https://xmpp.org/extensions/inbox/iap.html

  55. badrihippo

    Ah

  56. dwd

badrihippo, Yeah, IAP is just a little spec I wrote.

  57. badrihippo

Yeah I realised ๐Ÿ˜…๏ธ I'm glad I managed to expand out the more regular acronyms though!

  58. dan.caseley

    TLAs FTW!

  59. goffi

It would be great to have a way to indicate common accronyms used in a room, I'm pretty sure it would improve accessibility.

  60. goffi

Or more generally a room glossary. It could go in room metadata.

  61. Zash

    Like the description? or topic?

  62. dan.caseley

I can see a room-contextual glossary being useful in a bunch of different scenarios.
