Re the questions asked in last call: I don't think xep-0001 mandates how the editor executes the last call, so I'd believe the editor can just add or change the questions.

And I do like the idea to also explicitly address non-developers in our community

yes let’s see how the list discussion wrt 377 turns out. but yes please do actively participate especially but not just if you plan to veto

the xep is in somewhat active use and i (personally) would like to see it resolved somehow. either through rewording or by other means

and then have editor-me act on that (rather than go through board or whatever)
