Hi. I'm working on a Matrix AppService for XMPP (an XMPP client inside a Matrix HomeServer) for my MSc thesis. I still haven't found the key question to answer in my work, but I was thinking of focusing on the E2EE part. Maybe involving MLS and/or some PQ/HNDL-resistant cypher. I would appreciate feedback on a diagram I'm working on regarding how to retrieve a user's public key material from an XMPP server. I can send it here, if that's OK. I also wanted to ask if you too think that Double Ratchet implementations will be deprecated in the IM-world in favor of some PQ form of MLS.
