    do we now have editor tooling to create stable versioned links pointing to an immutable version of a xep for all xeps?

    Not for anything that happened historically.

    meh, I was hoping we could change the url value for the generated biblatex entries to point to a immutable xep, and not the living document

    and I think this also answers my follow up question regarding re-introducing xep version diffs

    bah, the xeps/Makefile sets SILENT globally and sometimes redirects stderr to /dev/null :(

    Kev, do you have a rough idea when XEPs started to get versioned links in the attic?

    darn, attic/ does not contain the latest version of a XEP :/

    also https://github.com/xsf/xeps/pull/1305 which contains the trivial fix

    merging #1305 would unblock https://github.com/ietf-tools/bibxml-service/issues/302 and allow RFCs to easily reference XEPs
