Just noticed that https://search.jabber.network/rooms/1 gives 500 error, sure it worked a few days ago - not sure who to report that to, any suggestions?

    Blame rust!

  4. pep.

nah it's Link Mauve who's to blame, always

  5. Martin

    I'm fine with that.

  6. mathieui

pep., two sides of the same coin

  7. pep.

Link Mauve has a rusty side?

  8. jonas’

stuart.j.mackintosh, thanks for the hint, will look into it

  9. jonas’

If the disk is full it's always uncapped log files :)

  18. jonas’

no, those live on a separate partition for that reason :)

  19. stuart.j.mackintosh

    > stuart.j.mackintosh, thanks for the hint, will look into it 👍️ You are welcome

  20. nephele

    jonas’: Impossible :D

  21. stuart.j.mackintosh

jonas' - you could add monitoring - Nagios etc, as some reason will always find it's way to breaking these things

  22. Zash

I think jonas’ knows about monitoring already

  23. moparisthebest

    Docker'd

  24. Zash

Meanwhile, my server: Monitoring consumes way more resources than the acutal services.

  25. Zash

    Heh, twice the RSS actually

  26. moparisthebest

Galaxy brain: who needs monitoring if people will just tell you when it's down

  27. Zash

Also: Who needs CI when users will tell you when it's broken?

  28. moparisthebest

    I like it!

  29. jonas’

stuart.j.mackintosh, there is monitoring, the thing which broke is that my phone didn't show notifications for the bunch of alerts which have been raised :)

  30. jonas’

ah well, if you turn off notifications in android for k9, you shouldn't be surprised to *not get any notifications from k9* :)

  31. Zash

    notifications for email? NEVER!

  32. stuart.j.mackintosh

‎jonas’‎ - got it. Probably could get nagios to send XMPP messages as notifications... Thanks for getting it resolved - we are getting some rooms set up and may persuade the admins to publish on your list - it's a valuable service.

  33. jonas’

Zash, only for the inbox running on a domain and inbox nobody knows about, where the monitoring pushes stuff
