Is there any really useable iOS client? I've tried monal last... it's extremely hard to read anything because it doesn't implement dark mode everywhere (especially not in the chat view)

  2. alacer

nephele: siskin and snikket, snikket 's push proxy really works well

  3. nephele

I honestly don't care about push really, a functioning UI is more important to me, I'll check it out, thanks :)

  4. Martin

On iOS push is very important as the OS kills the apps.

  5. Martin

You won't notice messages otherwise without opening the app.

  6. nephele

Yes, I don't care about xmpp notifications, I'm mostly in group channels and those can wait :) It's more important to me for example to be able to see where I was highlighted and view that

All of the iOS apps disconnect after three minutes in the background because iOS kills the network connection. I’ve tried most of the apps, and Siskin IM is the one I use most. I’d like to see them add a Watch app to Siskin.

Sound like a nice life without Interrupts 😁

  9. nephele

Siskin does not seem to show any MUC channels I'm already subscribed to :g, only has a join channel button that shows a partial list. maybe that is sufficient though

  10. nephele

Stefan: well, I don't think having constant interuptions is good for me, I use the same reasoning to not use social media, also has benefits to not constantly check a phone for new notifications :)

  11. nephele

(found an option in siskin to sync muc channel subscriptions, yay)

  12. nephele

It's duplicating all MUC messages, and they are terribly small without any contrast, but i suppose I can use it for now, not really something I'd recomend people to for joining xmpp though :(

  13. Stefan

nephele: I agree. I use profanity and neomutt. Both without notifications.
