Schimon: I have implemeted a (simple) pubsub based forum already, and I'll improve it with my next grant.

Ahaha! Greaat!

A report mechanism for pubsub contents, notably comments, would be definitely useful. It's already available on platforms such as Mastodon. I don't know if https://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0161.html can be a fit for that, I haven't implemented this one yet.

goffi. Are you intending to use slixmpp for this PubSub-based forum?
-
Schimon
If you do, then I might stop the development of a del.icio.us clone and wait for you.

No I'm not using slixmpp, my project largely predate it. It's using Twisted. But the forum is already implemented, you can try it on the demo. It's really basic for the moment, but it will be largely improved in coming months, after I've finished the SFU implementation.

Schimon: you can check instruction to run the docker demo on https://libervia.org to check the forum.
-
Schimon
Thank you. I will.

Libervia is built to be very flexible, you can use it as a base to work totally new theme or feature.

Since many XMPP projects have been benefit from EU funding free software (NLnet or other means) I'd like to share the following from KDE mailing list, hoping this is the right place for it: > By now you have heard the news that the EU is defunding NGI, and thus Free Software, in favour of AI. > This has caused a lot of concern and Free Software organisations have produced an open letter addressing this issue and directed it to the EC. > The letter is available here: > https://www.ow2.org/view/Events/The_European_Union_must_keep_funding_free_software_open_letter > The organisers are asking associations and individuals to support the request by posting the text (available for download at https://pad.public.cat/lettre-NCP-NGI#) on their websites.✎ -

This is a bookmarks management system. In order to make it "social", I need help in handling slixmpp instances and self-manage them against cookies.
