  1. Schimon

    Good day!

  2. Schimon

Is there an example code in Python to negotiate OAuth Client Login (XEP-0493)?

  3. singpolyma

I don't think so. I implemented it for PHP in movim once

  4. edhelas

    ?

  5. singpolyma

edhelas: I don't think I ever made a PR I just got it working locally IIRC

  6. singpolyma

Probably I should revisit it and clean it up, make sure all the little things I found in the module for the server got fixed (I think they did)

  7. edhelas

With which XMPP server did you integrate ?

  8. singpolyma

    Prosody

Does anyone here have objections to migrating the mailing lists to mailman3.com? They host lists for ICANN among others and are the most cost-effective service I’ve found.

  11. singpolyma

are we going to lose archive again or do they have a migration tool?

  12. jonas’

would we keep the domain, stpeter?

  13. stpeter

I think they have a migration tool, but I will verify. Ideally they could help us migrate the old mailman2 archives while they’re doing that.

  14. stpeter

Yes, we will keep the lists (standards@xmpp.org and so on), but move them to a cloud provider.

  15. jonas’

    sensible

  16. jonas’

I looked a mailman3 in the past and they seemed a good option, so definite "go" from my side.

  17. stpeter

We’re trying to get everything out of “the bunker” / dedicated machines.

  18. stpeter

I propose that we keep the 9 lists mentioned at https://wiki.xmpp.org/web/XSF_Infrastructure#Mailman

  19. stpeter

Oops, I asked these questions in the wrong room. I’ll move the discussion over to the iteam chat.

  20. Kev

If you're happy that mailman3.com look good, I have no objeciton.

  22. Guus

Does that mean that the mail archive no longer stored under our direct control? In that case, should/can we have an automated periodic backup job that stores the archive somewhere that we have direct access to, or is that overkill?

  23. mathieui

(one complaint about the mailman3 website is that it destroyed my eyes with the white on flashy green text)

  24. stpeter

    ;-)

  25. Schimon

    > (one complaint about the mailman3 website is that it destroyed my eyes with the white on flashy green text) mathieui. Would a Greasemonkey script be useful? https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/466058-dark-reader

  26. singpolyma

    Or the main source https://darkreader.org/
