    Wonderful!

  2. Martin

    What's an GRE? https://xmpp.org/extensions/inbox/gre-encrypter-openpgp.html

  3. jonas’

I only know GRE as Generic Routing Encapsulation

  4. jonas’

but I doubt that's what they mean

  5. wgreenhouse

the XEP says it refers to another for Gateway Relayed Encryption

  6. flow

    edhelas, dino devs: congrats

  7. Martin

    > the XEP says it refers to another for Gateway Relayed Encryption At least the introduction doesn't explain the acronym.

  8. cal0pteryx

I also wondered what that would mean :)

  9. wgreenhouse

Martin: yes, you have to keep reading

  10. ismael221

    Sup guys

  11. ismael221

I have an idea for XEP to be implemented in XMPP, I already have a draft of the xml and specifications, how can I send this to be evaluated by those responsible for xmpp?

  12. moparisthebest

ismael221: to be considered for an official XEP number under the XSF, open a PR on GitHub @ the XEPs repo

  13. ismael221

    This one https://github.com/xsf/xmpp.org, right?

  14. moparisthebest

But no one is "responsible" for XMPP per say, it's an open internet standard, and eXtensible by definition

  15. moparisthebest

    No, this one: https://github.com/xsf/xeps

  16. Zash

https://xmpp.org/about/standards-process/#write-your-proposed-extension has some guidance. says you can email the editor tho, but I hear the editors prefer a PR these days

  17. moparisthebest

Search for PRs with "protoxep" in the name for examples
