Oh hello! left. Qxmpp does come with an updated OMEMO module, https://invent.kde.org/libraries/qxmpp/-/blob/master/src/omemo/README.md. I have no idea if that is aimed towards encrypting past the message data itself.

Oh wow! I remember they didn't want to support anything but omemo 2 back in a day, which was sad, because apart from kaidan there were few clients supporting it. Did it get it right, that they are going to be able to support older versions of omemo?

But if I'm not making a mistake all that omemo 2 initiative was about encrypting the whole message content, not just the body

hi, I would like to update the Omemo page on the wiki ( https://wiki.xmpp.org/web/Tech_pages/OMEMO ). Currently it is written that the most used versions of Omemo are 0.2.0 and 0.3.0, is this still true? Thanks
-

vril: most are on omemo 0.3 de facto as that is all that is supported by the Conversations clients
-
wgreenhouse
omemo 0.8 is aka twomemo

thanks wgreenhouse, ! So, still true twomemo is an informal nickname right? Because I do not find that in Specifications..✎ -

Twomemo? Learn something new every day...

vril: yes, it's twomemo because these messages have the `urn:xmpp:omemo:2` namespace

Just upadated https://wiki.xmpp.org/web/Tech_pages/OMEMO I was undecided whether to add this sentence as well (I did not include it because I am not sure if it is entirely true): "Also to note, while OMEMO (XEP-0384) is an experimental standard, its implementations for certain sets of messengers are standards as features." (copied from a forum)

Not sure what that means
