  1. debacle

Ha, my internet club likes to replace their internal IRC with … M.A.T.R.I.X. If only we already had service side spaces 😿

    > Ha, my internet club likes to replace their internal IRC with … M.A.T.R.I.X. > If only we already had service side spaces 😿 debacle. Tell them that this can be done with XMPP too, and someone might volunteer for that task.

    > debacle. Tell them that this can be done with XMPP too, and someone might volunteer for that task. It's always a matter of timing. Matrix has the feature right now, XMPP will have it one day. Maybe it will be in time, maybe not.

Maybe matrix will still exist by the time they go to set it up, maybe not.

    > Not a lot of apps with good UI for browsing though I admit Which clients do support spaces, even if UI were ugly? (And does ejabberd already support it, which is in use there?)

    > is Prose released yet? There are downloads for web/mac/win, but not linux or mobile yet

Latest Cheogram Android has the start of a UI. Any channel details page has a "browse space" button and if you go to add a contact and enter the address of a space it says "that looks like a space" and offers you the option to browse instead
