    > Hint: perhaps don't try turning it into a state machine, I have tried that and the complexity quickly gets out of hand. Maybe you'll do better, but I doubt it's possible to even approach the readability of Dino's parser without coroutines. But i love finite automata…

    Finite automata are awesome

lovetox: I upgraded my chromebook to stable Trixie finally. 2.1.1 seems nice and with no breaking changes since that DB migration that already happened before 1.9, I shouldn't probably be afraid to upgrade it on my primary laptop as well. It doesn't even seem to be significantly slower, despite software rendering, which means that I should attribute Dino's problems on this laptop to something other than Gtk4. Just Tab completion of nicknames is broken.

  4. lovetox

bodqhrohro: this is not the Gajim support chat, and you need to type @ now before tab completing

  5. bodqhrohro

Meh, breaking oh-mah-IRC/XMPP conventions! (just like it did with comma instead of colon, hehe)

    > bodqhrohro: this is not the Gajim support chat, and you need to type @ now before tab completing Just to get my 3rd, 4th account etc. banned there? You behave here more politely, at least :P

  7. bodqhrohro

Hmm, nice, Dino works much better here too.

    No problem

Good evening. Is it possible to restrict reactions or disable reactions in group chats? For instance, I want only ✔️ ❌ and 👋 signs.

Question would be which servers implement declaring this for a MUC

  14. lovetox

this was intended i think for bridges, to discover what another network supports

  15. lovetox

but yeah you could use this to limit reactions on a MUC, just no server implements this right now

  16. edhelas

Yes, I think Slidge use it for Telegram that is restricting the emojis

  17. lovetox

also probably no client has GUI for that

    > Question would be which servers implement declaring this for a MUC prosody mod_firewall could do it... good luck! (:

  19. bodqhrohro

Does Dino support MUC archives? Their XMPP server seems to be down lol.

  20. bodqhrohro

Seems like yay, I switched to another account with real MUCs and see queries to them.
