regarding the issue i posted yesterday about PMs, would this not mean every client should add their own occupant-id to outgoing MUC PMs, so the occupant-id is present when the clients own server carbon copies the message to other clients?

  9. moparisthebest

server should be adding it no?

  10. lovetox

how can it? its your own server that makes the copy not the MUC

  11. lovetox

the message did not yet reach the MUC when the copy is made

  12. lovetox

Or the other solution is to simply ignore occupant-id for outgoing messages, currently i store my own occupant-id beside each message i send, but i could also simply not do this and say, i dont need occupant-id for my own outgoing messages ..

  13. lovetox

though the question is, do i really not need it ..

  14. lovetox

yes i think one does not need occupant-id on MUC PM Outgoing, it should always be clear from the message to/from attribute that the message comes from one of our own clients, occupant-id is not necessary for identification

  15. moparisthebest

I can't recall, are outgoing MUC PMs reflected to you as well?

  16. lovetox

    no

  17. lovetox

its a type "chat" message like single chat

  18. lovetox

its just routed via the MUC
