MattJ, is this the only hats module in prosody https://modules.prosody.im/mod_muc_hats_adhoc.html ?

im asking because it only allows a muc service admin to change hats, which is probably not feasible for many servers

would be really nice to have per-muc hats

something like putting the muc name in the hat's uri and then only letting owners of that muc mess with (or use?) that hat

You mean, hats are not per-MUC?

at least thats the intention in the XEP, the implementation might differ on some servers

oh what really? they seemed like they're for the whole server 🤔 i figured that's why it uses a uri to identify them

as i understand it the uri is the field that identifies a hat in a unique way

as the title attribute of a hat is a translatable field

i would assume any edits would need copyright to go to the xsf the same way any other xep submission would
