Matrix is not one place, it is a protocol, they support different rooms. Each room has admins, just like XMPP

holger, The matrix has a problem with the servers, there really is a problem.

wether one is better or not it's not acceptable to block users because they advocate a competing technology. It makes a very good point for them.
