  3. tom

any ideas what could cause this?

  4. Licaon_Kter

tom: what's the server error? How do you upload, eg. Nginx?

  5. tom

    no, Prosody's own thing

  6. tom

I would love it if I didn't have to use Prosody's own built in webserver and use OpenBSD HTTPd, but I don't think that's possible

  7. Licaon_Kter

    tom: use https://github.com/weiss/ngx_http_upload ?

  8. Licaon_Kter

    (Via nginx I mean)

  9. tom

    i'm using Prosody's mod_http_upload

  10. Licaon_Kter

tom: yes, you can setup an external thing to take care of uploads

  11. tom

but I want to know how to fix what i currently have

  12. Licaon_Kter

tom: oh...I thought that's "client error"

  15. madmalkav

Thanks for your replies guys. I'm going to run that server on a machine with dynamic ip, currently I already have an A record for that server, I wanted to use an ANAME record for cleanness / convenience

  16. madmalkav

I suppose I will just try and see

  17. MattJ

madmalkav, first time I'd heard of ANAME. From what I can tell it's not a real DNS record, it's some feature made up by a DNS provider

  18. MattJ

Rather, it is a real DNS record, it's just an A record that they automatically update for you

  19. MattJ

So given that it's an A record, the answer is yes, it can be used as a SRV target

    👌

Is there any way to setup http_upload_external with OpenBSD httpd?
