XMPP Service Operators - 2019-08-02

anybody here have experience with bridging to facebook messenger? I'm using fbridge for matterbridge and got blocked

now facebook wants my photo to verify my identity (apparently to prove I'm not a bot) but I decided not to continue

I'm not sure if anybody ran into similar issues before, if so can you share your experience?

anyone here that runs an ejabberd server with capability of pushing to ios devices?

Right now I provide bridges to discord and telegram, and hope to add signal soon. They're not really open protocols but I think it will help increase the number of people using xmpp/irc, so I can tolerate it

Kricn3Nx8: if you don't build your own app you don't have to do anything, ejabberd will subscribe for that user to send push messages Set `loglevel: 4` run `ejabberdctl reload_config` and then watch ejabberd.log to see messages about push
