[Looking for] no log policy, reliable trusted xmpp server, paid also ok.

  2. Maranda

sixkiller self host it yourself, finding a public server that can guarantee no logging is almost impossible

  3. pep.

sixkiller: if you do no logs you have no visibility over errors in your service. or maybe you don't consider tracebacks "logs".

  4. pep.

so yeah I'd also recommend doing it yourself if that's a hard requirement

  5. sixkiller

I see. What would be the simplest program to Start a server with that requirement ?

  6. sixkiller

    Over windows ?

  7. Martin

    Windows?

  8. Martin

Prosody doesn't support windows anymore, I don't know if ejabberd does.

  9. pep.

sixkiller: note that if you have your own server and you're alone on it now whatever connection you have with other servers is just as if you were connecting directly yourself :p

  10. pep.

    they'll have logs

  11. pep.

    so maybe you're scr¥$¢d anyway

  12. sixkiller

    Perhaps !

  13. sixkiller

Well its off topic but how can i mitigate whatsapp malware activity ?

  14. sixkiller

And so you think their encryption is backdoored

  15. Maranda

    Martin: ejabberd does afair

  16. mss_cyclist

sixkiller, If you know the telefone numbers you can spam. It is the same as email spam.

  17. sixkiller

    I see...

  18. sixkiller

Well, even if i dont use whatsapp

  19. sixkiller

My number is still on facebook servers because people have me on their list

  20. sixkiller

So what am i fighting ?

  21. sixkiller

    Just thinking aloud

  22. sixkiller

    > Martin has written: > Prosody doesn't support windows anymore, I don't know if ejabberd does. Not support as in, won't entertain questions and not guaranteed to run, or very likely won't run?

  25. edhelas

People are running servers stuff on windows? It's really a thing?
